The Details:

Our small but efficient IT department is looking for a proactive, independent problem-solver to help manage and optimize our NetSuite ERP and other integrated systems. This role involves a mix of project management and hands-on technical work to ensure smooth operations.

Our main goal is to constantly strive to implement the best software and processes to optimize our operations. To achieve this, we maintain a high level of agility and openness to suggestions, frequently bringing new ideas to life within a day.

Below are some of the responsibilities. Don't be intimidated if you're less comfortable with some of these. If you're a self-starter and quick learner, you'll be able to ramp up quickly and manage this part of the operations effectively.

If this is something that’s interesting to you, this position is based in Montreal (Pointe-Claire), and you will report directly to the VP of IT/IS.  

System Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customize, and maintain NetSuite to align with business needs.
  • Create and manage dashboards, reports, and saved searches for data analysis and decision-making.
  • Develop and manage custom scripts and workflows to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support and troubleshoot errors or issues related to NetSuite and integrated systems.
  • Provide day-to-day support for NetSuite users, ensuring smooth system operations.
  • Manage and execute daily exception reports to maintain data integrity.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions.
  • Support and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other systems, including WMS, EDI, B2B and B2C portals.
  • Understand and stay familiar with all other technologies in our IT infrastructure.
  • Due to the nature of our organization and department, this role may also contribute to other IT-related projects as needed.

Who You Are and What You’ve Already Done:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and customizing in NetSuite, or related systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP software systems and related business processes.
  • Must be proficient in JavaScript scripting, Oracle SQL query, and knowledgeable in REST / Soap-based Web Services.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working across several departments.
  • Highly organized and ability to follow processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Clear, concise communicator who is ambitious, hardworking and independent.
